Ivey, Stuart “Stu”

On Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at the age of 59, passed peacefully at the Henderson Hospital, with his family by his side. Stu will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 20 years, Joanne “Joey”, children Charleigh, Paul (Tangy), and Mike (Jamie), grandchildren Joshua, Emily, Sarah, Vivian and Jack, mother Ethel Eastwood and sisters Colleen Sicard (Roger), and Sharon Stewart. Stu touched the lives of countless family members and friends. He will forever be remembered for his enthusiasm, dedication and sense of humor. Stu proudly served as Zone Commander B6 of the Royal Canadian Legion, and was employed with Dofasco/Arcelor Mittal for over 40 years. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 796 Upper Gage Ave (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Tuesday December 29, 2009 from 2-4 and 6:30- 9 p.m. Legion Service 7 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. If so desired, as expressions of sympathy donations to The Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
