Obituary for Ida Yachetti

YACHETTI, IDA
Peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Henderson Hospital, on Saturday, March 7, 2009, Ida Yachetti in her 78th year. Beloved wife of Armindo. Loving mother of Ron, Mary, and Charlie. Loved Nonna of Tom, Billy, Austin, Dean, Michael, Cecelia, Sophia and “Clyde”. Dear sister of Carlo (Audrey) Albanesi of Hamilton, and Angelina Tosti of Italy. Predeceased by her infant son Anthony, and by 4 sisters and 1 brother. Ida was the long time manager of White’s Laundromat at King St. East and Rodgers Road., a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, a member of St. Eugene’s Over 50 Club, and a former long time Crossing Guard at King St. E. and Glenholme Ave. She was also the Chief Cook, Waitress and Bottle Washer of Ida’s Basement Bistro, where many and all were welcomed. Visitation at the P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1919 King Street East, on Monday, March 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, March 10, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., with a Prayer Vigil at 7:15 p.m. Family and friends are asked to arrive at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, where the Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Entombment, Bayview Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the East Hamilton Kiwanis Club would be appreciated by the family. www.dermodys.com.
