PARENTE, Joan Marilyn
With heartfelt sadness our family mourns the loss of our beloved Joan, who passed away peacefully after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer on January 8th, 2017 in her 81st year. Devoted and cherished wife of Edmond for 62 years. Always loving and caring mother to her children Ed (Lucia), Michael (Maria), John (Diane) and Patty (Don). Nanny will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jennifer (Rob), Marcus, Eddy (Ellie), Elissa (Jay), Michael (Lisa), Kaylana (Derek), Alexandra, Vienna, Amber, Johnny (Kristen), Miranda (Ashton), Willie (Rebecca) and her great grandson Joseph. Predeceased by parents Harry and Olive Wigington and brother Teddy. Also survived by brothers Peter (Marlene) and Rob (Hilary) Wigington and sister Nancy Mackey. Special thanks to CCAC, VON, caregivers Yolanda, Gemma, and Eva, and Vivienne, Mary and the staff at the Bob Kemp Hospice. A private family service will be performed and a celebration of Joan's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society or the Bob Kemp Hospice in Joan's name would be appreciated. A beautiful soul has been set free.
