R. Keith Frederick "Keith"  Yeates
YEATES, R. Keith F., 1931-2017
Major (Retired), British Army, Retired Professor, George Brown College.

Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Billings Court Manor, Burlington, Keith Yeates in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Lynne (née Sidorkewicz). Loved father of Ian (Nora) of Regina SK., Neil (Glenda) of Ottawa ON, and Andrew (Lisa) of BC. Stepfather of Mark and Linda Emerson of Ancaster, ON. Loving grandfather of Kirsten (David) Pugh, Erin (Vince) Spilchuk, Brenda (Brian) Glavin, Aaron, Haley, and Drew (Jenn) Yeates, and step-grandfather of Cody, and Samantha Emerson. He is predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Reginald Yeates and by his brother Gordon. Keith was born in London England and served in the British Army. He loved the army and stayed for 20 years serving in Japan, Malaya, England, Aden and Germany. The pinnacle of his career was achieving a competitive entrance to the Army Staff College, Camberley in 1961. Life then led Keith to come to Canada where he worked as a regional manager for Versafood, and settled into suburban life in Burlington ON. Keith continued his career in Food Services working for several companies, but found a great joy in teaching at George Brown College in the Hospitality Field, and in co-writing Text Books, and lecturing to and tutoring the next generation for the industry. As per Keith’s wishes, cremation and interment have taken place. Lynne would like to thank the staff of Wedgewood Home Area of Billings Court Manor for the loving, tender care given to Keith and to herself by all of you. Thanks also to Dr. Ragonetti for his care.
