Condolences

Condolence From: Jill Nelson
Condolence: I recently learned of Harry's passing, and would like to express my sincerest condolences. Tonight, "Meet Me at the Brant Inn" was on television. It was wonderful listening as Harry and Jimmy, Gordie Tapp, and some of the others recounted their favourite memories of a special era in a uniquely beautiful setting.
I'd like to believe that Harry, his brother (my godfather) Tom, and my own dad (Gav) are reunited playing a heavenly tune. Peace and blessings to Harry's family. RIP

Condolence: Dear Family of Harry Waller ~ My sister, Liz, joins me in expressing our sincere sympathy for your loss of Harry...

Our late dad, Bob Reeves, came to know Harry through Reeves' Hardware Store in Hamilton and Pittsburgh Paints. Dad spoke so highly of Harry! Our late parents often spoke of one of their favourite outings... the Brant Inn to hear Harry Waller!

Our dad was so happy to introduce us to Harry following a concert in Dundas some time ago. We met Harry again, more recently, while visiting a friend at St. Peter's on Maplewood. Our love of the big band sound is through our dad and his friend, Harry Waller.

We are thinking of you at this sad time as you say goodbye to this very special man...

With love, Doug & Liz

Condolence: Harry Waller was the definitive Swing Era musician from the Hamilton area, playing in almost every "house band" at the famous Brant Inn in Burlington from 1947 until 1965, in bands led by Paul Page, Morgan Thomas, Gav Morton and, ultimately, himself.
Harry adored the big-band sound and was one of the main information sources for my 2008 book, Brant Inn Memories.
I loved talking about the music scene with Harry. He was always a gentleman and I miss him. Thankfully, we all have our memories of the man and his music.

Condolence: Dearest Harry...rest in peace. My deepest sympathies to the Waller families. I worked with Harry in his orchestra for many years as a young teenager. I was the vocalist for the jazz band. He was and will remain a gentleman of grand proportions and I am better for having known him. Until recently Dorothy and Harry and I exchanged Christmas cards as he was always a huge part of my music career and as a friend. I am heartbroken by this news. God grant the family strength and peace and love. Sincerely and always...Corinne Plomish

Condolence: I loved Harry. I sang with his wedding and Big Band for many years in the 1980's and 90's. He was a consummate musician and bandleader. I can see his hand raised now on the down count! Haven't seen him in many years but he is in my heart and musical soul. May he rest in peace.
