Our dear mother passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 94 years of age at Macassa Lodge. Gone to be reunited with her husband of nearly 70 years, Peter. Pre-deceased by her parents Antoon and Hendrica Verheyen and eleven brothers and sisters in the Netherlands and daughter Rianne of Waterloo, Ontario. Mother of Willie (Fred Cowley), Tony (Barbara Lee), Peter (Gloria), and son-in-law Steve Lachine. She will be remembered always by her ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers at Macassa Lodge for the care they have given both our Mother and Father over the past few years. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Monday April 3, 2017 from 9:30-11 a.m. with a Chapel Service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (254 Garner Road West, Ancaster). Online condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
