It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Herman Volkers on April 3, 2017 at Regina Gardens in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (1989) and Lois (2012). Loving father of Shirley Clarke (James), Jennifer Seminerio (Enrico), Jeff Volkers (Luisa), and step-father to Laura, Christine, Mark and their families. Dear PaPa of Derek, Christopher, Larissa, Justin, Joshua, and Sabrina. Dear great-grandfather of Nicholas. Dear brother of Jopie Visser (Jan). Survived by many nieces and nephews in Holland. Herman was a proud 50 year life long member of IBEW Local #105. Visitation will be held at P.X DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Wednesday, April 5th from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 6th at 10 a.m. Burial to take place at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
