Obituary for Lucille Joan Pray (Guthro)

Lucille Joan Pray (Guthro)
Pray, Lucille Joan (nee Guthro)
Peacefully, at Idlewyld Manor, on April 27, 2017, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Jack (2013) and son Robert (2009). Loving mother of Michael (Dawn) and David (Karen) and proud grandmother of Evan, Justin, Matthew, Cara, Philip, Christopher,Steven and Shawna. Feisty is the word often used to describe Lucille, never afraid to give her opinion and this shone through the haze of her dementia. Lucille loved her home and garden, she made the world's best butter tarts. She was a talented seamstress, and also loved to travel the country, in early years, with Jack and 3 little boys in tow. Lucille was a longtime member of St. Eugene's parish and volunteer at St. Joseph's Villa. Thank you for the compassionate care shown to Lucille by Dr. Levy and the staff at Aberdeen Gardens and more recently, by Drs. Ghukian and Grafham and all the dedicated staff on the Oak Wood floor at Idlewyld Manor. A private family service has taken place. If desired, donations in Lucille's memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 200 Parkdale Ave. N., Hamilton, L8H 5X2. On-line condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com
