Passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at Hamilton Extendicare in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary in 2006. Loving father of Sandi Devine and husband Ernie, and the late Kevin. Cherished Grampa of Chad (Rachel), Lacey (Scott), Cody (Nicole) and Great-Grampa of Lexi, Brolin, Austin and Parker. The family is eternally grateful to the entire Extendicare Dundurn staff for their gentle care and compassion throughout his stay. Don retired from Hamilton Motor Products as General Manager after 25 years and had two passions - community work and baseball. He dedicated his life to serving others and will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched. Visitation will be held at P.X DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.
