It is with saddened hearts that we are announcing the passing of our mom, Jennifer (Jenny) Harney.

Mom was one of three children born to Michael and Sanca (Sadie Zakala) Woloschuk on April 6th, 1933. She peacefully transitioned with her children by her side on September 6th, 2017 at the Juravinski hospital in Hamilton.

Formerly from Kirkland Lake, Ontario, mom lost her husband, Emmett in 1968 and spent her entire life raising her 6 children on her own.

Jenny was predeceased by her husband, Emmett in 1968, her sister Mary in 1974 and her daughter Brenda (nee Harney) Pietrazak in 2014.

She is survived by her children, Deborra, Lorahley (Bob) Brain, (Zoey), Christine (Guy) and Jaqueline as well as her 9 grandchildren Kym, Siggy, Rebecca, Alycha, Crystal, Justin, Keith, Felicity & Calvin. Jennifer was also blessed with 5 great grandchildren Emma, Brooklynn, Chase, Landan and Tatiana. She will also he missed by her many nieces and nephews.

She was a fabulous cook, an expert gardener and loved entertaining people in her home.

Mom had a strong Catholic faith in God and wore out a rosary a month., She sang and had a beautiful affinity to music and love Native Circle Drumming. She gave her last dollar to another human without hesitation.

She nurtured many people, family and strangers alike, to feed their hearts and souls & help them on their way. She will be missed terribly by all those who she touched in life, especially by her family.

A heartfelt thank you to all the staff on the ICU and E3 at the Juravinski Hospital for their loving and compassionate care through moms journey.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Canadian Lung association or the Martha House for Woman in Hamilton. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.
