Peacefully on Oct. 31st at Juravinski Hospital after a brief illness in his 87th year. Ed’s family meant everything to him and he will be missed by his loving wife Ann of 63 years, his children Joe (Teresa), Pat (Coral), Jan (Tom) Wolfe, Bruce (Yvonne), and Chris (Carrie). He is united in joy with his daughter Teresa (Ron), grandson Boden, his parents and siblings. He was a proud and loving grandfather of Daniel (Alicia), Karen, John (Renee), and Catherine Hartnett; Jemma (Matthew) and Théa Wolfe; Ben (Christie), Josh, and Arielle (Chris) Else; Sierra (Sean), Seth, and Bryer (Michelle) Hartnett. He loved spending time with his great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Boden, Avery, Ann Marie, Sophie, Isaac, Joseph and Sarah. Ed was a talented artist and many of his stained glass treasures were donated to a variety of charities for fundraisers. He had a strong Catholic faith and depended on his rosary over the last couple weeks of his illness. He owned his own interior decorating business and taught at Mohawk College for many years. He was involved in Sts. Peter and Paul Parish for 57 years, was as a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12453, the Geritol Follies, and Bereaved Families of Ontario. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Friday, November 3rd from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Prayers will be said on Friday at 3pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Sts. Peter & Paul Parish on Saturday, November 4th at 9:30am. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Bereaved Families of Ontario.
