Jan. 29, 1923 – April 18 2018

Passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a terrible fall on April 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife of 54 years to Margaret (nee O’Connell) (2001). Friend and companion of Ruth. Paul is survived by his children Paul (Anna), Brian, Jim (Jackie), Margaret, and Tom (Jane). Also survived by his sister-in-law June O’Connell. Beloved grandpa to 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Paul fought in WWII with the regiment of Queen’s Own Rifles, survived and married our mom. He retired from Westinghouse after a long fought battle with cancer and opened his own business. Paul owned and operated Paul’s Marine Welding and finally took the big leap and retired when he was 80. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. on Sunday, April 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 23rd at 1pm.
