I just saw your story on the CTV Barrie News. My heart goes out to you, as I too suffer 24/7, eye pain. Mine was a detached retina in December 2014 followed by 3 treatments to correct. Further complications and damage, required cataract surgery, going into the eye for a forth time. Ongoing "dry eye" pain discomfort, foreign object sensation, inflammation, distortion, bruising and bleeding. I am currently under the care of 2 of the best eye doctors in Toronto with no "signs" of anything wrong. Even my most current visit November 14, I mentioned Corneal Neuralgia, (was on the CTV W5 a month ago) and they had no idea what I was talking about. I can certainly understand how Paul would have felt, and wanting to end the pain. Again I feel for your loss. You are not alone. Ken
