Condolence: Dear Maureen and Patrick, On returning from Vancouver to Woodstock yesterday (Aug 19) my sister in law informed me of your mother`s passing. It was uplifting to read such a wonderful tribute to your mother. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. She was a remarkable woman who raised 3 remarkable children and each time you hear yourself saying something your mother would have said remember that she is still with you. Love to you both, Mary

Condolence: I just wanted to offer you all my condolences. Seeing the notice in the newspaper brought back childhood memories of visiting your house in Westdale on Christmas Eve and for Mark`s birthday. I still remember the ribbon candy your uncle Richard would bring with him from Boston. My mother (Barbara Ross) and grandmother (Betty Lill) spoke fondly of Florence even after all the years it had been since we all lived next door to each other on Millen Avenue. Having lost my mother recently, I can only offer my thoughts and prayers for you. Sincerely, Kristie

Condolence From: Anne Marie Garcia
Condolence: I am the daughter of Raymond Lanthier, and the niece of Doris Lanthier. I was very sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. She knew me from the time I was a little girl, and I have memories of the many times she paid a visit to my Aunt in Florida. While reading her obituary, I remembered her qualities which were described so clearly therein. Specifically, I recall her independence, her speaking her mind freely, and her wonderful smile and laugh. I even remember that she was a lover of blue denim skirts, but wore them with great style. I recall feeling at ease when she came to our house. And she gave my son some Canadian coins for his collection. I hope that all the happy memories you have will stay strong, and that the sadness you feel now will pass by quickly. You have a wonderful family that your wonderful Mother formed, and you should be very proud of that.

Condolence From: Dermot Nolan
Condolence: Dear Maureen, Michael and Mark, What can I say about your Mom that you haven`t already said so beautifully in her obituary - you captured her perfectly. I shall remember her fondly - yes, the" firm handshake" and "wonderful smile and laugh "- the "sprite who always greeted me so cheerfully whenever I ran into her while visiting my own Mom at 49 Robinson...and yes, I caght a few glimpses of that "fearless willingness to speak her mind" Think of her life now as no longer a work in progress but a completed masterpiece that you can all stand back and admire with pride and happy remembrance. To find her, look in the mirror! I am sorry that I must be in Montreal today and tomorrow and will not be able to see you and help send her off on her final glorious voyage. God bless you all! fondly, Dermot

Condolence From: Libby (mcgann) Cierri
Condolence: Condolences to Maureen, Michael and Mark and well as Florence Mary`s many grandchildren. I had the pleasure of meeting the family back in 1962 when my Aunt Mary (Meffan) took me to visit `relatives in Canada`. I was seven years old and the train ride seemed to last forever. The Quigley family greeted me with open arms and I have warm, wonderful memories which last to this day. Florence Mary was loving, kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. I only had two more opportunities to speak to her later in life, but the family (and the Christmas Letter) kept me informed about what was happening. God bless.
