Sister Fidelis Orban peacefully returned to God on August 29, 2017. She was a Sister of Social Service for 73 years and was in her 90th year of life.  She was born in Punnichy, Saskatchewan and was involved in various ministries in Stockholm, Montreal, Regina and Hamilton. She always had a smile on her face and her spirit of hospitality was outstanding. Visitation will be held at the Motherhouse of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, 1921 Snake Road, Waterdown, Ontario on Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Garden Road, Burlington, immediately following Mass. Funeral arrangements are in the care of P.X. Dermody Funeral Home. The Sisters of Social Service wish to express their utmost appreciation and gratitude to the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the Motherhouse Infirmary Staff and Dr. James Faught who provided such loving care for Sister Fidelis.
