Obituary for Margaret-Anne Mary Cranfield (Burjaw)

Margaret-Anne Mary Cranfield (Burjaw)
CRANFIELD, Margaret-Anne, Mary (née Burjaw)
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Margaret-Anne at St. Peter’s Hospital on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Earl Robert Cranfield. Loving mother to Gordon (Shelley) of Toronto, Lianne, and Kathleen (Billy) all of Whitehorse, Yukon. Grandmother of Mary-Jane, Hazel, and Angus. Dear daughter in law of Doris Cranfield. Margaret-Anne will be missed by many cousins including Maryann Havers, Rosemary Watson, and Maureen Bochsler, as well as a Boatload of dear Dragon Boaters called Wave Warriors. Margaret-Anne taught at Nelson High School in Burlington and continued to cherish many friendships established at that time. She thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent at the cottage and on the water in Muskoka with the Watts, Keith, and Hampson families. After a diagnosis of breast cancer in 1996, she continued her love of the water with her soulmates/team mates on the Dragon Boat on Hamilton Bay. Her enthusiasm for her family, her life and her friends with whom she loved to share time was so very evident and will be lovingly remembered and forever missed. The family appreciates the support and caring of all the friends that provided such special support and love during this most difficult time. One Paddle, One Heart, One Stroke…..with a hug. Visitation at the PX DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave, on Wednesday, August 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Following a Rosary, there will be a time for all to tell their favourite Margaret-Anne story. There will be a microphone. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 am on Thursday August 23rd at St Josephs church. Memorial donations to the Bright Run, Box 739, LCD #1, Hamilton, ON L8N 3M8 would be appreciated. www.dermodys.com.
