von Appen Family - I was so sad to hear tonight about Rigo‘s passing. He is with his dear Bridget in heaven now. Mr. and Mrs. von Appen were always so good to me, and I enjoyed many, many dinners at their home. Their love for each other and their family was a wonderful example to me. I admired Rigo’s work ethic and self-discipline and, even more so, what I saw as his love of culture, music, reading and nature. He commanded respect and admiration. He lived a long, full life - and I will always remember him very fondly and with gratitude. Rest In Peace.
