My sincere condolences to your family on the passing of your father, husband and grandfather. Mr. Keat was my high school teacher for several years. He inspired me to become a teacher, like many others I am sure. He was a legend at SJB. He was firm, but fair and I learned so many things from him - you know this as he was your treasure at home. May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead and know that he impacted so many students in lasting ways. Rest in peace Sir.

Saddened to hear the news of Mr. Keat passing away. To those of us in the north end he was truly a “mentor, coach, teacher”. He was someone who believed in us and more importantly made us believe in ourselves. He is certainly someone who we all looked up to. I certainly owe my desire to become a teacher to him. Even when I became a colleague, he was still Mr. Keat to me. May the many tributes to be shared over the next little while bring a smile to the Keat family. Condolences to the family. Thanks for sharing him with us. Phil Roberto (St. Mary’s Elementary class of 1976)

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Paul’s passing. I have such fond memories growing up... spending time at the cottage, seeing him at scho or at my dad’s Poker night parties. He always had a strong, wise but gentle presence and I know how much he was admired and respected as a teacher. My thoughts, love and prayers are with all of you through this very difficult time.
