Dear Sola, It is with a heavy heart that I think about the fact that you are no longer here. That I will not be able to pick the phone again and hear your voice. I didn't realise that when I said bye to you last year in Hamilton, that will my last time of seeing you on this side of eternity. I am so so glad and grateful to God for giving me the opportunity of spending those 9 days with you. It was such a joy to spend time talking, praying, laughing, reminiscing and listening to the brilliant intelligence coming from you. You made me feel so welcome, having cooked and filled and stocked your fridge with some much food. You arranged for me to be picked up at the airport and dropped off on my last day. You made my stay so comfortable I cherish that visit over to see you, just like I cherish your visit to London to see us before that. I thank God for your time on earth. You came, and truly fought the good fight of faith. You were one who genuinely loved and cared for others. Gentle, respectful, God fearing hardworking, selfless and focused. You were all these things and much more. I prayed so much and believed to the very end that God will keep you longer but He knows better and took you to be with Him. In a place where there is no sorrow, pain or sickness. I take comfort in that you knew Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and all your immediate family do too. Blessed be the name of the Lord! I will really miss you Sola. Till we meet again to part no more. Your cousin Folake Henshaw

I had the honour of working right behind this kind soul. It was a pleasure working with such a good man. I'm glad he loved my jokes and listened to me vent because that's a lot of listening. It's sad that he's gone, but we now know he's not suffering any longer. He will be truly missed by his co workers, friends and family.

My tribute to Sola: Of a truth, 'we don't know what we have until we don't have it again'. You were so many things to me - a brother, a gem, a mentor and my true replica. You taught me tenacity, courage and the drive to keep fighting and pushing for excellence in all I put my mind to. Always doing people's job/work like it were yours. You trail the blaze with conviction and resolve to achieve more than you did in the past, always reaching further. You knew what you wanted every time and you always stood up and talk about it even when you didn't get it. From the first time I remember being your brother, all I remember you radiate is love in its purest of form, from giving me corporal punishment to arguments to rebuking me when i eer to caring for me when I was at my most vulnerable. Out of many, you stood out for me. I watched you closely 'cos you had what many didn't have - you were secure in your faith in God. You had courage to push even harder in the face of adversity and barriers in health and life. I learnt that and keep it close to my heart as i do you. You have set a standard which I can only hope to achieve half of. So many things I will miss you for. My respect for you is astronomical when you were with us and as much as it hurts that you have gone to rest in the Lord, the respect remains intact. Tears in my eyes but I want to also want to be secure in my faith in God just like you taught me and believe that God know the best. Sleep well 'Sean Pounds'. Till we meet to part no more. You will forever remain in the mansion I built for you in my heart. Yusuf
