Peacefully at home surrounded by his family, Edward passed into the loving arms of the Lord on June 5, 2019 at the age of 77. Beloved husband for 33 years to Marnie (nee McGilvery). Loving father of the late Todd and stepfather of Michael Des Jardins. Dear brother of Joyce, Pat (Pete), Dott, Richard and Linda. Predeceased by his parents Pearl & Percy Rawlinson and his sister Liz. Edward will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and close friends. Edward was a retired employee with the Regional Waterworks with 20 years of service and was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Regina Mundi). He will be lovingly remembered for his passion of long haul trucking travelling through Canada. A special thank you to Wellwood Cancer Center, Cancer Assistance Program, the Juravinski Cancer Clinic, Bayshore, and St. Joseph’s Home Care, especially Joanne, Theresa, and Julie Appleton for their care and compassion shown to Edward during his care. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Friday, June 7th from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Prayers will be said on Friday at 3:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Regina Mundi Catholic Church on Saturday, June 8th at 10am. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
