It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary. She passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, July 15, 2019, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton in her 86th year. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Tola Czajka. Beloved wife to Joseph (Niedzwiedz) of 65 years. Most loving mother to Bob (Eileen) Dan (Joanne) and Dianne (Darko). Loving and cherished grandma to Sarah (Derek); Chantelle, Nathan, Adrienne, Rob, Julia, John and great-grandson Grayson. Survived by brothers John (Irene) and Stan (Kay). Mary will be greatly missed by nieces and nephews Teri and Lorri; Christine and Steve; Linda and all of their families. Mary was a member of the CWL and active member of the choir at St. Eugene's Parish. Special thank you to the sixth floor, the ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dr. Richard Zizzo and Dr. Michael Sullivan. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1919 King St. E., between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 7-9 pm and Friday, July 19, 2019, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with prayers at 3:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene's Church (232 Queenston Rd.) on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 9:30 am. An interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (Burlington, ON). Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
