Obituary for Arimands "Sam" Valters
Valters, Arimands (Sam), CET, B.A. (Hons)
Passed away peacefully with his loving wife at his side at St.Peter’s Palliative Care Hospital in Hamilton on July 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer five days short of his 82nd birthday. Born in Latvia on July 23, 1937, Sam was the beloved husband of Ilga for 57 years. Loving father to Tim and cherished grandfather to Jordan, Matthew, and Sarah. Sam was an employee of Westinghouse Canada for over 30 years and retired from McMaster University in Human Resource Management. He was also an instructor for over 20 years at Mohawk College and an avid musician who played in bands for over 30 years. A special thanks to the staff at St.Peter’s for the wonderful care that he received. Cremation has taken place. As per family wishes a private ceremony will take place. Donations can be made to the Hamilton and District Ostomy Association
