ROCHON, Yvon passed away peacefully at the Jurvinski Hospital at the age of 88 years. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Yvonne (nee Pilon). Pre-deceased by his father Xyste Rochon and his mother Alma Ouellette. Yvon is lovingly remembered by children Ronald (late wife Susan), Claire Young (Gerry), Roger (Linda), Michel (Francine) and Pierre (Chris). Survived by Jules (Joanne pre-deceased) Éloi (Madeleine), Claudette (Omer Brassard), Bibianne (Willard Robitaille), Rachelle (George Affleck). Predeceased by Desneiges Lapierre (Armand), Anna Boucher (Louis), Marie-Ange Lapierre (Lionnel), Rhéa (Ernest Gignac), Rhéal, Maria (Marcial Demers), Gérard (Solange), Carmen, Germain (Susan). Cherished grand-father to David and Mike Bass, Eric and Karine Rochon. Great grand-father to Kaylia, Madison, Nolan, Nash, Henley and Lennon.


Yvon worked 37 years at Inco in Sudbury. He was a dedicated volunteer for the Children's Aid and the Wellington Place Retirement Home for which he received multiple awards.
