Joe was born in Liverpool Nova Scotia on April 15, 1924. A veteran of WWII, serving in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, Joe relocated to Hamilton after the war. After a 38yr career at Dofasco, he enjoyed a 35-year retirement, which included many great games of golf, evenings at the bowling alley, fishing, many trips to Hawaii, Mexico and the UK.
A wonderful father, dad kept us entertained with his dry sense of humour and a twinkle in his eyes, telling stories of the antics of himself and his siblings on the farm in rural Eagle Head, Nova Scotia and fishing the north Atlantic. He never missed an episode of Deadliest Catch! He was loved by all who met him. A truly good man and we shall forever miss him.
