It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anita, peacefully, on September 2, 2019 with her family by her side. Loving and devoted Mother of Jillian(Kris). Adoring Gram of Logan and Charlie. Cherished Sister of Diana(Joe). Dear Aunt of Natalie(Adam) and Steven(Jenny), and great-aunt to Kingston, Adele, and Kieran. Anita will be fondly remembered for her love of all living creatures, her passion for gardening, and her continuing efforts to preserve the environment. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1919 King St. E. between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Saturday September 7, 2019 from 9-10 a.m., with Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment and Reception to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA would be deeply appreciated by the family. Heartfelt thanks go out to the staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
