Obituary for David Robertson
Peacefully with family by his side, on Tuesday, October 8, Dave passed away in his 81st year,
after an 8 year battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). Beloved husband of 57 years to the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Janette (nee) Tofani. Proud father of Brad and his wife Linda. Cherished grandfather to his 3 wonderful grandsons, Connor, Chandler & Bryce. Predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer. Will be sadly missed by his sister Marleen Ward (late Don) and his brothers, Ralph (late Linda) Bob (Bev), Dan (late Anita) and sister in law Joanne McClymont. Predeceased by his sisters, Bette Fraser, June Markle and Margaret Iampietro. Dave was a dedicated employee of Stelco for 38 1/2 years, he started as an apprentice and retired as Foreman of the Electric Shop. An avid golfer and long standing member of Dundas Valley G & C Club. Dave was not just a handy man, he was creative & meticulous in his work. He could repair, rebuild or invent anything he put his mind to.
