Woitowicz, Susanne “Sue” (nee DesRoches)
Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Thursday November 24th, 2016 at the age of 85. Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William (Bill). Lovingly remembered by her children Tony, Janet (Jay), Don (Kim), and Dan (Michelle); her grandchildren Jamie, Derek (Meaghan), Lyndsay (Mike), Brent, Patrick (Amanda), William (Samantha), Corey, Rebecca, Tyler, and Jordan; great grandchildren Ryker, Jaxon, and Holden. Sue was raised in New Brunswick and was the sixth of ten children to her parents Frank and Emily (Mellie) DesRoches. Many extended family and friends remain in New Brunswick. Sue was a long standing member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and an active member of the CWL for many years. She was known to family and friends for her desire to help others and often went out of her way in selfless love. While raising her four children, Sue worked at Westinghouse and Canadian Tire. Special thanks to St. Elizabeth Village for their continued care of Bill. Additional thanks to Dr. Arthur Wong and Dr. Jason Cheung as well as the staff in the emergency department and Ward F3 (Medicine) at Juravinski Hospital for their compassionate and exceptional care. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Sunday November 27th, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Prayers will be offered at 2 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 1694 Upper James St., on Monday November 28th, 2016 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Following interment there will be a celebration of Sue’s life held in the auditorium at St. Elizabeth Village, 393 Rymal Road W. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family. www.dermodys.com
